Jyothirmayi is a popular actress in south india who has acted in malayalam, tamil, telugu, hindi and english films. Jyothirmayi was born in Kottayam in Kerala. She lives in Kochi now. She did her schooling from Mata Nagar School and St. Mary's School, and later for her pre-degree, Jyothi joined Maharaja's College. She did a course in Public Relations and Journalism from the Kerala Press Academy. She married Nishanth who was her classmate in school.
She started her career as an anchor on television shows aired on Citi channel and later Asianet. Jyothi acted in a serial named Indraneelam and later made her debut in Pilots where she played a sister's role. She came into the limelight only after Meesha Madhavan. Jyothi got opportunities to act opposite superstars like Mammootty and Mohanlal.
