Asin as Mammootty's heroine in Shyamaprasad's new film

It was earlier reported that Megastar Mammootty is going to act in the new untitled movie by the award winning director Shyamaprasad. And now, it is hearing that our own Bollywood actress Asin has been approached by the team for playing the lady lead in this film.

According to the reports, Asin is said to have given green signal to be a part of this film and if it happens then it will be a memorable come back for the actress, who started off her film career through Malayalam. Asin debuted a decade ago, through Sathyan Anthicad directed 'Narendran Makan Jayakandan Vaka' and later she has risen to great heights in Indian cinema through her Tamil, Telugu and Hindi films.

This yet to be titled Malayalam film that features Mammootty and Asin in the lead, will be written as well as directed by Shyamaprasad and is said to be a crime thriller that will present Mammootty in a very different role. This new Mammootty-Asin-Shyamaprasad film will be produced by Vindhyan.

After the critically acclaimed Malayalam film Electra, that featured Nayan Thara, Prakash Raj, Manisha Koirala etc in the lead, notable director Shyamaprasad is now all set to start his new Malayalam movie, that will have our own Megastar Mammootty playing the lead role.

According to some close sources, this yet to be titled new Malayalam movie, which is planned as a crime thriller by director Shyamaprasad will feature Mammootty in a very different role. Apart from direction, this new Mammootty film will also be scripted by Shyamaprasad himself. This new Mammootty-Shyamaprasad film will be produced by Vindhyan, and this is for the third consecutive time that Vindhyan is producing a Shyamaprasad film.

It should be noted that both Mammootty and Shyamaprasad are joining together after their much acclaimed film Ore Kadal in 2007. That film Ore Kadal have bagged several awards for various categories including the best actor award for Mammootty. So, everyone from the Malayalam film industry are eagerly waiting for this new film, which is widely expected to become a class film in aspects.

Aashiq Abu to direct Mammootty for the new Malayalam movie 'The Gangster'

The latest to hear from the Malayalam film industry is that Megastar Mammootty will soon start his new Malayalam movie with the young as well as promising director Aashiq Abu. Both Aashiq Abu and Mammootty have joined earlier for a movie, named as DaddyCool, but it was a disater at the Kerala box office.

This new Malayalam movie, with Mammootty in the lead and directed by Aashiq Abu is titled as 'The Gangster', and as the title suggests this film will feature Mammootty as a deadly stylish gangster. This is not for the first time that Mammootty is playing the role of a gangster, movies like Samrajyam, Athirathram, BigB etc were some of the his hit films in the same genre.

Even after the failure of his debut film, DaddyCool with director Aashiq Abu, Mammootty kept his faith in the director and asked him to come up with another powerful script and once the story line impressed Mammootty, he told Aashiq Abu to go ahead with it and now almost the entire script is complete, which is being written by two newcomers.

Director Aashiq Abu is planning to make this new movie 'The Gangster' in a stylish way, which is also planned as bi-lingual in both Malayalam as well as in Tamil. This film will also feature Tamil actor Parthiban, Rohini Hattangadi etc in the other lead roles and will be one of Mammootty's big film for the next year.

Meanwhile, director Aashiq Abu's second directorial venture 'Salt N Pepper' that featured Lal, Asif Ali, Shwetha Menon, Mythili, Baburaj etc in the lead is all set to release on this coming July 8th. Let's wish all the best for director Aashiq Abu for his both upcoming projects.

 The King & The Commissioner is one of the most eagerly awaited film in the recent times. This new Malayalam film that features Megastar Mammootty and Action star Suresh Gopi in the lead is scripted by Renji Panicker and directed by Shaji Kailas. It is being produced by Anto Joseph and will reach the theaters as soon as possible through Mammootty's own distribution company, Playhoouse.

This new malayalam movie The King & The Commissioner will bring back the powerful Joseph Alex IAS (Mammootty) from the movie The King and Bharathchandran IPS (Suresh Gopi) from the movie The Commissioner. The latest news to hear about this big budget film is that Suresh Gopi had joined the film today and has provided bulk dates in order to complete the whole film in a single schedule itself.

Apart from Mammootty and Suresh Gopi, this new film The King & The Commissioner Samvrutha Sunil , Salim Kumar, Saikumar, Nedumudi Venu, Vijayraghavan, P Sreekumar, Baiju Ezupana, Ponamma Babu etc are in the supporting casts. Other notable highlight of this film is that Bollywood actress Reema Sen will be the heroine of this film.

This Malayalam movie The King & The Commissioner, which is scheduled to be shot in Delhi, Hyderabad, Chennai and Kochi has started the shoot of the film in a bungalow in New Delhi on June 6th and is likely to take 60 to 75 days and will be over in the second week of August. If all goes well the film will release on August 31 as Ramzan/Onam release.

Megastar Mammootty is going to do a film with the most respected film maker of the India, Buddhadeb Das Gupta and the interesting fact is that this new film will be in Malayalam. It was the famous film maker himself, who had announced his plans of a Malayalam film. According to the film maker, Mammootty is not seeing a super star, but a hardworking actor who is always after offers that could establish his finesse in the acting department.

This new untitled Malayalam movie will feature Mammootty as a school teacher. More news regarding this new film is not yet revealed and it's hearing that Budhhadeb will be shortly coming to Kerala to discuss his project with Mammootty, which will be on sets by the end of this year. The most sensational news that comes out from the Malayalam film industry is that the Megastar Mammootty and Bigstar Prithviraj will join together in a new Malayalam film to be directed by Amal Neerad. This is for the third time both these stars are joining together for a film, after the disastrous One Way Ticket (in which Mammootty was in a cameo) and last year's top grosser Pokkiriraja.

This new untitled Malayalam film will be the second one for both the stars with it's director Amal Neerad, who have done BigB with Mammootty and Anwar with Prithviraj. This new film will feature the script written by Shanker Ramakrishnan, who was also the script writer of much acclaimed Prithviraj starrer Urumi. The other interesting fact related with this new film is that Prithviraj will appear as the villain in this movie.

This new untitled Malayalam film will kick start it's shooting very soon, which will be produced by Santhosh Sivan, Shaji Natesan and Prithviraj in combine under the banner of August Cinemas.

Mega Star Mammootty after August 15 debacle is now backing on new malayalam movie Doubles.

It will be Mammootty's Vishu release on April 15. The film directed by debutant Sohan Seenulal is a family drama based on the life of Giri and his twin sister Gowri.

Nadia Moidu is returning to Malayalam industry after 23 years with Doubles with Mammootty, where she plays Mammootty's twin sister role as Gowri.

Mammootty and Nadia had paired up in many hits including Shyama and Poovinu Puthiya Poonthennal in 80's .The star cast includes Suraj Venjarammoodu and Salim Kumar etc. Doubles is produced by Reels on Wheels and is scripted by Sachi Sethu duo.
